Cities play a crucial role in driving climate action and achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement. While global commitments provide direction, local governments need targeted support to turn their climate plans into concrete projects. This publication, a collaborative effort by the City Climate Finance Gap Fund, the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM), and ICLEI, showcases the impactful role of the GCoM-Gap Fund Partnership and the Step-Up Project (SUP) in supporting cities across Africa and South America.
